Destefano on the Air!

Mischel Barry has big plans for his hip, irreverent radio show Destefano on the Air. He wants it to be funny. He wants it to appeal to cool young 20 somethings. He wants respect. So much respect. But as it turns out, his show is terrible, his benefactor Steven Destefano is going broke, and to top it all off his best friend and co-host has quit on him. He is alone at the apex of his creative output.

Join us as Mischel attempts to control and redefine his collapsing universe through lying, cheating and...something else, something worse. We'll give you a hint, it begins with a "M"...

Directed by longtime Wilbury Group collaborator Bobby Casey (Exit the King, We Won't Pay! We Won't Pay!, True West) DeStefano on the Air! is part traditional play, part radio play, and completely hilarious. Providence playwright and sound man Cyrus Leddy (curator of the Breathing Tube late night radio series) takes us on a journey through his warped mind with the world premiere of his funniest full length play as he struggles to answer the age old questions, "What is real? What is fake? What is, ultimately, most ridiculous?"
