There are certain unmistakable signs that spring has arrived: you leave work at the end of the day in sunlight, instead of darkness; people’s clothing becomes lighter and more colorful; and all of a sudden, daffodils are in bloom everywhere you look – especially in Wickford. Celebrate the season at Daffodil Days on April 14-15. From an antique car display in downtown Wickford and a Daffy Dog parade to kids art exhibits and a walking tour of the history of women in the village, the celebration has something for everyone. This year, the festivities have an eco-friendly element to them, too: the kick-off spring fashion show on Saturday afternoon in Updike Park has a “green fashion” theme, and on Sunday the park will host a free e-waste recycling session. For a complete list of events, visit www.wickfordvillage.com - or just stop by that weekend to enjoy the fun.
