The Narragansett Bay Quilters' Association in full bloom

Posted

The Narragansett Bay Quilters’ Association (NBQA) is growing – or should we say quilting – a very special garden this month. The Garden of Quilts show will take place on Saturday, April 21 from 10am-5pm and on Sunday, April 22 from 10am-4pm at the North Kingstown High School. Unique events will take place on both days. On Saturday, there will be a fashion show at 2pm; on Sunday, there will be a small quilt auction. The show, which takes place every other year, features over 300 quilts from traditional to contemporary styles. The association has 250 members and is colorful in both personality and quilts stitched. The NBQA also promises to raffle off a beautiful quilt in addition to other basket raffles. With special exhibits to indulge in, activities to keep children occupied and lots of snacks to munch on, it’s sure to be a day to remember. Throughout the year, the NBQA offers retreats, classes and workshops. So stop by and see just what nimble fingers can do.
