Though following a recipe isn’t her style, behind the mouth-watering loaves baked fresh at SOUTH COUNTY BREAD COMPANY is the industrious co-owner Keri Lyn Collins, whose creativity, progressive vision, and passion for customer service has helped make the bakery a Wakefield mainstay over the past three years. Balancing each other’s strengths, she and husband Jeff, AKA “the bread guy,” have fostered a community while striving to make their bread business feel like an extension of their home.
Keri Lyn enjoys the arts, travel, and people. She manages the front of house, marketing, and oversees the customer experience. Until the bakery’s opening, Keri Lyn was pursuing a master’s degree in art education at RIC. To fill her creative cup, she plans to weave the arts into the fabric of the bakery by showcasing more local artists and hosting community workshops.
“I hope to encourage more women to feel empowered and value what they bring to the table.”
The bakery is now offering catering and is available to host private events as well as prepare care packages for any occasions.
