Inspired art with a positive vibe

Posted

New Englanders Nancy Netcoh and Kellie Noble have found inspiration in the whimsical coasts of South County. Noble has vacationed in Westerly for the past 35 years, and sought to develop alternative forms of souvenirs that captured the coastal majesty here. In this vein, she formed Graffi*Tee Studios with Netcoh. The pair’s artistic collaboration sees colorful art and text of graffiti used to portray “designs with a positive vibe.” They have created jewelry, art, note cards, green bags and apparel. Their Sun Collection collage prints showcase photographs of the Misquamicut area (featuring Narragansett Beer signs), Watch Hill (featuring big pink flowers) and Charlestown (featuring antique shops and roosters), offering a unique spin indicative of Noble and Netcoh’s familiarity and love for South County. Graffi*tee Studios’ Sun Collection prints can be purchased at Bay Breeze on Bay Street in Westerly or online at www.graffiteestudios.com.
