Newport Dance Festival (formerly Great Friends Dance Festival) is back this July with eight nights of dance, featuring five visiting dance companies from around the globe!

6:00pm - Doors open & Live Music begins

6:45pm - Choreographer “Talk-Forward” Q&A

7:00pm - Show begins (runs 90 minutes)

Picnics, blankets, & lawn chairs are suggested to enjoy world-class dance in a relaxed, community setting.

Each night's show will begin with an Etude, a short piece that is choreographed by one of the festival choreographers during the day, and performed with a group of self-selected festival dancers that same night.

Dancers attending IMC’s pre-professional summer intensive will also perform each night of the festival.

Pieces presented by IMC at the festival will include works by Artistic Director Miki Ohlsen, Associate Artistic Director Danielle Genest, company dancer Glen Lewis and choreographers Rodney Rivera and Colin Connor
