Rhody Gem: July 2019

The Village Faire – SO Rhode Island

Posted

We’re on the hunt for Rhody Gems! Every neighborhood has that secret, hidden, cool and unusual, or hole-in-the-wall spot that locals love. Email or tag us on social media using #RhodyGem to suggest yours, and we might just feature it!

What it is:

A browser’s paradise with handcrafted and artisan-made wares from over 30 local members.

Where to find it:

Located right next door to Ellen Waxmen’s fabulous art gallery, Five Main in Wickford.

What makes it a Rhody Gem?

In addition to pottery, stained glass, sea glass art, custom dichroic, cane and gemstone jewelry, hand-sewn bags and specialty children’s gifts, there’s photography art and greeting cards, calligraphy scribe, fine woodworkers, woodturning, and reclaimed wood gifts. The shop also features South County’s best curated book collection along with fine Newport Island style apparel at bargain basement pricing. “All under one roof!” says owner Diana B. Christie.
