Haunted attractions are a Halloween must. Whether it be haunted houses, corn mazes, hayrides, or something in-between, a frighteningly good time is always guaranteed to those brave enough to enter. Think you can handle it? Check out these local haunts.

Uncover a new fear at Slater Park Haunted Tunnel. This 200-foot concrete maze is home to nine rooms, each individually themed after hair-raising frights. When you’ve had enough of the scares, head over to the attraction’s large outdoor path featuring an industrial corn maze, a pumpkin patch, and more. Pawtucket

Try not to get lost in The Haunted Labyrinth’s “Maze of Terror.” As the longest running haunted house in New England, it’s safe to say that they’ve mastered the art of the perfect scare. With horrors lurking in every shadow, you’re sure to leave the house running – at least until next year. Cranston

Fear lives at Scary Acres RI where a rickety wagon ride into the woods is only the first tier of frights. Try your hand at escaping their haunted corn maze with only the light of the moon to guide you. Then, push yourself to terrifying limits in the “Fun House of Fears.” Are you up for the challenge? Hope

Your favorite scary movie characters come to life at 13th World (formerly known as Haunted Hill). Now in its seventeenth season, this thrilling outdoor haunted attraction takes you through the woods where evil spirits are said to roam, ready for blood. See if you and your group can survive this horrifying attraction. Cumberland

For perfectly-timed surprises, check out Factory of Terror. This self-lead attraction is set in an old factory with unnerving frights at every turn. Put your survival instincts to work in the factory’s petrifying “Phobia Mayhem,” “4D Blackout,” “Dracula’s Hideawsay,” “Zombie Alley,” and more. West Warwick

Nightmares come true at Field of Screams. Ghouls, zombies, and disembodied spirits are waiting for you to visit this 125-acre farm. Try not to scream during the attraction’s “Dungeon of Doom,” “Dead River Haunted Hayride,” and its “4D Cirque Du Souls.” If you’re ready to take fear to the next level, board a five-ton military truck to travel through a ghost town and shoot live zombies with “Zombie Paintball.” West Greenwich

Through 21 acres of winding, wooded trails at Seven Cedars Farm hides evil spirits, monsters, and ghouls anticipating your arrival. With spooks at every moonlit turn, you’re sure to be on the edge of your seat the entire ride. Once you’ve built up a fear-induced appetite, stop by the attraction’s concession stand to recharge –you’re going to need it. Smithfield

The darkness is startlingly real at North America’s largest coastal fortification, Fortress of Nightmares. Home to four haunted attractions – Mayhem 3D, Tunnels of Terror, Spirits Rising, and Paranormal – all proceeds benefit the restoration and preservation of beloved Fort Adams. What’s a few good scares for an even greater cause? Newport
